Basic knowledge of laser tubes

    The laser tube commonly known in China, the full name should be: glass sealed CO2 laser. Because the laser is encapsulated by a glass tube, it is commonly called a laser tube. This kind of laser tube is also mainly domestically produced.

    The main specifications and models of the laser tube take the laser power as the most important distinction. Currently common models: 60W, 80W, 90W, 100W, 130W, 150W, 300W, 450W and 600W. Laser tubes with different powers are mainly distinguished by different lengths. For example, the 80W laser tube is 1250mm, 100W tube is 1450mm, and 150W tuebe is 1650mm. In addition, the diameter of the laser tube is different, such as 80±1mm for 100W and 60±1mm for 80W.

    Laser tubes are mainly used in Co2 laser processing equipment. Such as laser cutting machine, laser engraving machine, laser marking machine, etc.

Precautions for use:

    1.A reliable laser power supply must be matched, and each laser tube with different power will have a corresponding laser power supply matching. Improper matching may easily cause the laser tube to burst.

    2.It must be used under excellent circulating water cooling conditions. The flow rate of cooling water is 2L-4L/min. If the cooling effect is not good, it will cause film jumping, resulting in power drop or even laser tube explosion. 

    3. When using, pay attention to the principle that the cooling water is low in and high out, and adjust the water pipe to ensure that there are no air bubbles in the pipe. Use soft water (distilled water or pure water) for cooling water, pay attention to the maximum temperature of the water should not be higher than 30 degrees, and the minimum temperature should not make the water inside freeze. The most suitable temperature is between 15-25 degrees. There should be no scale in the laser tube, so as to avoid blocking of the cooling water. Scale can be cleaned with 20% dilute hydrochloric acid.

    The luminous color of the newly used laser tube is pink, which is very bright. After aging, the luminous color is white, which is very dim. Generally, the CO2 laser tubes can be used for 5,000 to 10,000 hours, and the guarantee is about 6 months to 1 year. The standard of free replacement varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, and the replacement procedure also depends on their after-sales service.

    The difference between glass laser tube and foreign Co2 metal tube laser: The processing purpose and application of domestic glass laser (ie laser tube) and imported laser are basically the same. There are great differences in appearance, structure, life span and function. There is also a big difference in price, for the same power, imported lasers are probably dozens of times that of domestic lasers. (The same life span is also very different. The imported metal co2 laser can be used repeatedly with inflation, and the domestic glass laser tube is generally used as a one-time use). Domestic glass lasers have been recognized by domestic and foreign customers because of their low price, economical and practicality.
